Guinness World Record, Bugatti Veyron 2011 Super Sport 16.4 ** VIDEO **

Posted by Dan on Feb 10, 2012 in Cool Cars

** VIDEO ** this includes the Guinness World Record test run of The 16.4 Bugatti Veyron 2011 Super Sport 16.4 which eventually hits an average top speed of 267.86MPH (431.072 km/H) for the record. At Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessian, the same track where James May forever erased his nickname “Captain Slow”, chief Bugatti Test Driver Pierre Henri Raphanel climbed into the fastest office on four wheels and headed out onto the 12 mile oval. Guinness World Record officials were present as the Super Sport headed out onto the course. To set an official record you have to do a run in each direction, and they take the average. You have one hour to complete it, and no one can touch the car. On the first pass the Veyron SS passed at 265.91MPH (427.933km/H). On the second pass that speed increased to 269.81 MPH(434.211km/H), for an official average of 267.86MPH (431.072km/H). The result of their engine-building encore is 1200hp and 1106lb ft. of torque. The body is now 100% carbon fiber, reducing weight significantly. And thanks to its new flush-mounted air intakes on the roof, it’s more slippery too. The Super Sport is a consequent of the further development of the classic exclusive 1001-hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4, launched in 2005. This model offers a stunning set of specifications, such as the twin clutch gearbox with seven speeds, the extraordinarily precise driving performance in bends and excellent stability when braking and accelerating. Toyota Window to the world – multimedia system

Posted by Dan on Sep 7, 2011 in Cool Cars

Imagine when a journey from A to B is no longer routine as your car in the near-future encourages a sense of play, exploration and learning. This is the image engineers and designers from Toyota Motor Europe (TME) and the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) had of Toyota’s “Window to the World” vehicle concept. NB: The video used to promote this vehicle concept is a simulation filmed in static, controlled environments. All health and safety requirements were met for the described conditions. Toyota will never promote unsafe behaviors, and will always encourage passengers to fasten their seatbelts.

Honda Introduces New Vision to the World; Miami Honda Lovers Await New Car

Posted by Dan on Dec 16, 2009 in Cool Cars

If you’re a car lover or a Honda fanatic, then make sure to mark the week of December 2 on your calendar. That week is the week of the Los Angeles Car Show, and during that week, Honda will reveal just a little more of its vision of the future of automobiles, when it reveals its Personal Neo-Urban Transport concept to the world. Traditionally, concept car presentations are not always “rough drafts” for future vehicles, but can instead represent a company’s vision for society’s future relationship with automotive technology. If you use the most recent displays by automakers as examples, then it is obvious that carmakers envision the future as an urban, efficient, compact one- and the name Honda “Personal-Neo Urban Transport” (yes, P-NUT) seems to evoke all those qualities.  We have no clue what the P-NUT actually looks like, except that it is an “ultra-compact, agressively designed coupe”, and it follows the introduction of concepts like Honda’s Skydeck and CR-Z .

If you don’t want to wait several years for the ideas presented in concepts to hit the streets, why not look into getting your own futuristic car right now? Honda has several “cars of the future” on sale now. Whether you prefer futuristic styling (the Honda Fit) or futuristic technology (Honda Insight), Honda has something for you. You can get a quick quote on the Honda of your choice in less than 8 minutes time from BrickellHondaDirect.com, or visit Brickell Honda of Miami- Miami’s favorite car dealership- in person to see the future for yourself. And for you car enthusiasts- we will have more information on the P-NUT as it comes.
