now I really like the rx8. good looking car but most importantly it handles well. but I wouldnt want to own one just like I wouldnt want to own an s2000 which I like better. both cars while full out sports cars and handle on rails just lack power. 14s arent that fast and Ive read that a lot of rx8s run 15s. yes you can go forced induction but if you took that 5k to do it right you couldve gotten a viper or a vette and had the power+handling stock. with that said rx8 is a great real drivers car

@01jordanfirst You don’t need to warm up that log befpre driving 3 min is ok for good care you need to warm up for 10 minutes before turn off engine if you are in real could weather for precaution only . from 06 new sparks are helping & no one is complaining about flooding problems. I just took some new pics to my rx8 check “rx8 mx5 my sport rides”

The RX8 was a fun car. 4 seats = more conventional. The handling is superb. Going around corners was awesome.

The biggest problem is torque. Lots of high end power….nothing down low. The automatic (performance wise) is comparable to a sedan…..really not something to boast about on a sports car. The manual is faster but it is still behind the competition.

Though if you are in the market and don’t care about power or plan to get forced induction…it is a great car.

the only problem with this car is that the rotary engine needs a 10 min warm up before you drive it. this car is well worth the wait if you ask me.

@firstlastca i dont even think ford has any idea what a rotary engine is or how it works. i doubt greatly (99% sure) that they dont supply the engine for the RX8

@firstlastca Ford used to own 33% of Mazda through stakes…Mazda does not belong to for. Ford sold those stakes and is no longer involved with Mazda. That’s why Mazda’s quality rating has gone up.

meglio il modello prima ….l’r3 l hanno imbruttita con quei cazzo di fari strabici.

@firstlastca Actually, Mazda was never owned by Ford. Ford has bought stakes in Mazda’s company and so it seemed as if Mazda belonged to Ford. Mazda is now a more independent automobile company.

@TheSiCkSiDeRiDeR lol. the shit in the middle is actually where the transmission/driveshaft are at. So yes they had to put it in there especially when you consider how low to the ground the rx8 is.

@skeegle Its good for what is does. This car isnt meant to be a drag racer. It can handle extremely well and can rev very high. This car is better suited to auto x and track racing. Besides mazdaspeed 3 while a nice car also suffers from “fail wheel drive” or FWD in short. The torque steer and lack of grip to pavement is a big deal breaker if you are one to have experienced the power deliverly of a rwd car.

The mazda rx8 is pretty sweet. Its like a practical daily sports car. If i had needed the practicality this would have been the choice over my s2000. Friend has one with 2 tone leather seats. That interior is enviable.
