@tobaritchpingun The real question is where does the expertise and technology come from which enables the company to produce it. Today Audis and Mercedes are produced in China and BMWs in the USA. That does not make these companies or cars original intellectual products of these countries as the technology does not originate from there. That’s why Jaguar might have an Indian owner but certainly is a product of Britain. Or does the iPod make Apple a Chinese company?

@tobaritchpingun Nonsense. VW did not purchase parts of a company which had anything in production. They acquired the name Bugatti and the rights to use it as a car manufacturer when no cars under this name where made by anybody. The other manufacturers have a certain percentage of foreign ownership but have a pretty uninterrupted history of making cars, unlike Bugatti. The Veyron could have been made by VW under any name owned by the VW group but VW wanted something with pedigree.

Bought. That’s just VW owning parts in the company. It doesn’t change a thing to what the company is, but the owner.
Otherwise Jaguar is Indian, Mercedes is only 41% German, and VW is 17% Quatari!!

To save multi-million euro in a multi-billion dollar contract, they removed the gun. But to balance the plane, they needed something to fill in that weight. So they only ever saved 2 million by not having any ammo. The only thing that heavy and that size was the gun. So you have a gun in your plane with no ammo or firing ability that acts as a paperweight.
F-35 can hold I think 4 AMRAAM’s internally, if it wanted to. At least 2 anyway.
