[0-60] Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 and Corvette C6RS

Posted by Dan on Oct 8, 2010 in Cool Cars |

We use the powers that be to make our LG phone footage, along with rotating cube and stoner ripple effects work in this two minute behind the scenes montage, complete with cheesy film editing and bootleg sound. Watch the Corvette C6RS and Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 in HD (Highly Disappointing) film quality. Sit back, relax and enjoy. Feel free to laugh. We did.

@n9athan Actually, Corvettes are extremely cheap for what they offer compared to European cars. Just check Autotrader and see what kind of Vettes you can get for the price of a new Honda Accord.

The $260K Pratt and Miller handbuilt C6RS is the Corvette C6R racecar with a full interior, and has a 0-60 of about 3 seconds. It’s a faster car than the Gallardo 0-60, also in top speed. If you look at the video… it’s meaning less. There is no one giving them the ‘go’ there are no tracklights and according to the 0-60 magazine site… the Corvette had traction control on. Not a very good video.

actually most corvette owners save up for many years to buy their corvettes so im pretty sure price is still an issue because not ever super car owner makes 500k a year

@n9athan
I think that if we want compare 2 cars we can’t watch the price… because the people that can buy this supercars have a lot of money, for this i think that we can’t watch the price…

yeah but if you ever want to own a performance car your going look at the price and the performance for the price

Your talking VALUEas in a numerical amount moneythe lower the “dollar amount better the value” but that’s GM’s version of value as well as yours…and many times mine. Europeans or at least their car companies see value as quality of each dollar rather than the total amount of those dollars. Both are a form of better value

I am a corvette fanboy, to that I freely and openly admit, and I am very proud of how the car has evolved recently.
However, to this stupid debate below, as a *car* fan, how can anyone insult or deny the quality, craftsmanship, and pioneering spirit of the classic European benchmarks? Europe has long been the top end of the car market, with Japan creeping toward their throne. America’s auto industry has been asleep, essentially, since the 70′s, and only recently woken up.

The value of a dollar is less than the value of a euro, and I think they’ve already learned that.

did U ever see GT races like LeMans?? The ferraris like the lambos several times dont see even the ehausts of the vettes.. and, the Zr1 already beat the porsche gt2 and the ferrari 599… So I think is not a fact, is ur opinion..

I dont want a fucking Zonda… Too less for that price.. And maybe the MClaren F1, or Toyota minolta, the Enzo are legends.. NOT the zonda.. For the half of the entire price of the Zonda, may I put little mods in the Zr1 to kick asses..

it really doesnt matter how fast a car is for $300,000 or $500,000 or more because for that price you could make a grocery kart outrun anything. And saying all european cars perform better than all american cars is like saying all japanese cars get great gas mileage, its ignorant.europeans may say americans are ingnorant and bullheaded, but so far you have been stuborn, ignorant and completely biased.Compare a $275,000 Twin Turbo Linenfelter Corvette Or henessey viper to ANYTHING europe makes.

If we want decide which car is the best we should see the performance, not the price, for that i think european is better, becouse their performance is better than the american cars…

Ferrari makes beautiful, high quality cars, but at the same time, they are overrated, and overpriced.Considering a Corvette ZR1 (no it may not have the same build quality,or as luxurious an interior, but thats not what it was built for),can keep up with or outrun almost any ferrari, lamborghini, porsche etc out today for 1/3 the price,I think europeans need to learn the value of a dollar, just because a car is expensive, doesnt mean its worth it. BYE ;)

you are only an american fanboy… Are you understand this? Ferrari is the best car in the world and only you don’t think that… BYE ;)

Our cars are expensive for a reason!!!!! Maybe lts the fact theyve got soul, character, build quality and the fact they are expensive ,well their not called supercars for their value. The price ls part of the appeal, ln supercar world price ls nothing due to the customer!!!

i cant really understand anything youre saying, but it sounds european biased,so im going to ignore it.

we are talking about supercar? Well… i don’t think that all pepole can buy 100000€ for car… for this i can compare the enzo with ZR1… there are supercar and the price isn’t important… only a rich can buy this car and if i am rich i don’t interesting that a car cost 100000€ or 500000€…
In a track the ZR1 can’t destroy a lot of european supercars…. and it is a fact not my opinion…

the Zonda is over $600,000,while the ZR1 is $105,000,quicker,handles almost as good, stops just as good, and gets better mpg haha.but seriously I get tired of people comparing the $100,000 ZR1 to a $500,000+ Maserati MC12,Enzo Ferrari,Zonda,Carrera GT… yes it may not handle quite as well, but its damn close, and usually accelerates almost as quick,if not quicker, and with a few $ just in intake, exhaust, raise SC boost, other small bolt ons(under $5k),etc…this car could easily destroy any exotic.

The zonda cost +750000 € because is a legend… And the ZR1 i think isn’t better… i hate his handing: handing of zonda is a lot better…
the zonda weight 1200 kg and has 650 CV… ZR1 1500 kg and 600 CV…
Zonda 350 kmh
ZR1 320 kmh
0-60… yes zr1 is quicker but in a 0-150 i think zonda is much better… Around the ring the lap time of zr1 isn’t official….

rockerdude29
Oct 9, 2010 at 06:52

well for the price, yes I think the ZR1 is a much better car than the Zonda, maybe not as exotic looking, but it has a quicker 0-60,1/4 mile, and similar if not better handing.Plus you have to consider,it is about 1/5th the price, and also, beat it around the ring : )
